The Dragon’s Bride by Katee Robert (A Deal with a Demon #1)

I know I’ve read a lot of supernatural romance, but is this my first monster romance. It feels like it with Sol’s double stacked dong. That’s right, two peens. Weirdly, this wasn’t a turn on for me. Maybe because use of the second dingle was always perfunctory like, “ok, now this one,” rather than it’s own whole own affair.

Additionally, worth noting that this book is a novella. And it’s too short. I needed more development in all areas: relationship, inner process, decision-making process, and external action. This book could have been longer and my only guess as to why it isn’t is because this is how Kate Robert delivers so many books a year.

I’m interested in the other characters in this series and the world she setup with the monster mate auction. The concept of “humans bring magic to this world” is really fun and knowing there’s a lesbian storyline in the future is also exciting because that’s not usually KR’s cuppa. -Ford
