Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood

ARC provided by @BerkleyPress and @abovethetreeline!

This is such a great woman in STEM story with a side of enemies-to-lovers (kinda) and a high-stakes plot twist that keeps you turning pages.

Bee and Levi have great complex conversations about the brain and some absolutely stunted chats about their feelings. I am usually really frustrated with adults that can't talk about their feeling with each other, but Ali Hazelwood does a great job providing an outlet for both of these characters to process how they feel with their anonymous online besties.

I was expecting a big reveal when they finally figured out their "You've Got Mail" scenario, but that really wasn't the plot twist, and what a cool surprise that was.

There are not enough women in STEM and certainly not enough books about women in STEM getting their HEA, so if that is a niche you have been missing, jump on this book!!

I liked everything about this book. What a great second book for Ali Hazelwood. Some of the issues I had with book one about validations of women only by the voices of men were much better balanced in this one. She actively addresses how much women struggle with being able to stand on their own merits and the need for male allies to uplift and elevate their voices.

If you are a man/male presenting read this book, stand up for your colleagues, and make noise for everyone who is not being heard in spaces that are yet to be filled with diverse voices! -Sky
