The Missed Connection by Denise Williams (Airport Novellas #2)

Felix and Gia spend a New Years (and a New Years kiss) stuck in an airport and then expecting never to hear from each other again, until Felix lands a job in Gia’s university department AND he’s the researcher who eviscerates her work online! They dance around each other until they are stuck on a weeks-long collegiate tour together.

This book did not help me get out of my book slump. It had the same problems for me as the first one: writing for an audiobook format (which is the first method of publication for this series) is different than writing for reading format. The audiobook performers were okay in this one. I never really put my finger on what was amiss there, but maybe these performers were just newer to the audiobook game? There was something just a bit not right about it.

My book slump continues…
